James Rose - Ex-Army Homeless Man

James was born and raised in Aberdeen, Scotland, and is a graduate of The Oxford School of Drama. He initially graduated in Business Studies and worked in various consultancy positions before finally pursuing his dream of becoming a professional actor.   This year James appeared in YOUR NATION LOVES YOU at The Old Vic Tunnels and also recently played Macduff in the much publicised production of MACBETH with Abi Titmuss playing Lady Macbeth. Mark Heartford Trained at The Alternative Drama School  for theatre acting and with Zoe Nathenson for film acting who is also his agent.

Mark Has appeared in Chekhov's The Sneeze as the Main Character of the Minor Government Official at The Actors Centre Tritain Bates Theatre Directed by Jonathan Peters and Yvonne Morley and has also worked in Sterophonics music video Maybe Tomorrow as well as various independent films like 30, Forever yours.

Andrew Ward - Burger Seller

After securing a place at the prestigious East 15 Acting School Andrew went on to become a finalist in the BBC Carleton Hobbs Acting Awards and achieve a MA focussed on the history and effectiveness of Method and Meisner based acting methodologies.
Since graduating he has acted in theatre, radio and film, helped other young actors develop their skills in workshops both here and abroad, completed voice over projects for several companies including a large and innovative new project for National Geographic.

Amanda Merchant - Evening Standard Seller

Amanda Merchant Mrs McGilroy and Lady Amelia

Amanda is delighted to be working with Palladini Productions on their second run of ‘1867’. Amanda was brought up in Bath and began acting from the age of three with the Bath Operatic and Dramatic Society on the Bath Theatre Royal stage, in musicals such as ‘Chess’, ‘Guys and Dolls’ and ‘Oklahoma’.
She went on to train with The Actors Company, where she found the training a challenging yet rewarding experience. Theatre credits include Sybil Merton, South West tour of ‘Lord Arthur Saviles’ Crime’, ‘The House of Bernarda Alba’ where she played Amelia and Prudencia in repertory at The New Players Theatre, and Delia Sniff in Mother Goose with Hurricane Theatre Company.

Luca Zizzari - Pianist

Luca Zizzari’s recent theatre credits include A Walk in Four Decades (Soho Theatre), Glengarry Glen Ross and The Challenging Tide (Theatro Technis).
Film work includes Self Made by Turner-prize award winning artist Gillian Wearing, Tornando a Casa (Massimiliano Bulgheroni), We are what we drink (Marc Hardman) and Sensation (Hugo Thyssen). He works both in the UK and Italy.

 

 

Avi Nassa - Father

Avi was born in Jerusalem to a Jewish Indian mother and Iraqi father. Bafta award nominated, he is widely experienced in theatre, films, T.V. and radio. Most celebrated is his portrayal of Salvador Dali in Andrew Dallmeyer s acclaimed one man show, Hello Dali - Edinburgh festival and world tour.
Avi has written over 20 plays including chilean Moon, his performance of which achieved a coveted 5 star review at Edinburgh Festival, and Woman in the moon about the life of his baby factory mother.
Avi is the artistic director of Whispering Eyes Theatre Co, and is an accomplished magician, having studied magic in Hollywood's world famous Magic Castle.

 

 

Sanita Simms - Daughter

Sanita graduated from Arts Ed drama school in 2008. Since graduating she has recorded a dramatised extract for the author John Trevillian’s ‘The A-Men’ and was a Reykjavik guide in Shams one man show ‘Reykjavik’ during their re-working process at South Street Arts Centre.

Sanita has also filmed the lead role of Suniya in 'Rishtay Relations'; a (short) film by Ravensbourne about an inter-racial relationship that's frowned upon by her father and embarked on her first T.I.E for the company Theatre & in 2009. At the end of last year, Sanita became one of the first members to form the Young Members Committe in Equity and is running for election on the Ethnic Minority Artist seat on Equity council this June. Sanita also writes and is currently undergoing a few personal projects.

 

 

Anna Afanasyev - Fashionista 

Anna finished her training at LAMDA and continues training with John Osborne Hughes: A student of the late, great Sam Kogan who taught The Science of Acting.
Anna made an important appearance in the acclaimed short film Man Made and made her debut London stage appearance last year in I'm A Londoner where she recieved great reviews

 

Velile Tshabalala - Nigeria Socialite

Over the years as a professional actress, Velile has worked for several prestigious companies including: MTV, BBC and Dr Who Productions.
She has appeared in numerous television productions, most notably as a regular in Pett Productions' sketch show 'TittyBangBang', which aired for three series on the BBC, as 'Kareesha'-one of the lead cast in CBBC's 'Kerching!' and as 'Rosita' in 'The Next Doctor'-2008's Dr Who Christmas special. Her theatre work involves productions at The Octagon Theatre, Theatre Royal, Stratford East and The Rich Mix Theatre.

Velile is delighted to be returning to the stage and once again working with Palladini Productions.
